JACKSON, Wyo. — The director of the airport that serves Aspen, Colo., has been hired to direct the airport that serves Jackson and nearby Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks.

Jackson Hole Airport is located just inside Grand Teton and is the only commercial airport inside the boundaries of a national park.

Ray Bishop is retiring as director of Jackson Hole Airport. Jim Elwood signed a contract Thursday to take over the job starting in early September.

Elwood directs the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport.

Jackson Hole Airport serves 300,000 commercial air travelers a year.
