LANDER, Wyo. —A Casper man is dead after wrecking a new motorcycle immediately after he bought it.

Fifty-nine-year-old Barry N. Strang of Casper died Thursday on Wyoming Highway 798, about two miles north of Lander.

Strang had just bought a 2013 Harley-Davidson in Lander and had driven it only about 3 miles when he collided with a semi-trailer.

Officials say that both Strang and the 2007 Kenworth were northbound when Strang turned into the big rig's drive axles and went under the wheels.

Officials say Strang's unfamiliarity with his new motorcycle might have caused the accident.
