JACKSON, Wyo. — Authorities say a climber has died on the Grand Teton in northwestern Wyoming.
Details were sketchy but Grand Teton National Park officials say the woman apparently fell at about 8 a.m. Monday. Her name and hometown weren't immediately released.
The woman was with a guide on the 13,770-foot mountain, the highest in the park and the second-highest in Wyoming.
Park spokeswoman Jackie Skaggs said a second person suffered serious injuries in a separate incident Monday.
Skaggs said that person slid 150 feet down a slope along the Paintbrush-Cascade Canyon hiking loop. The person's name wasn't immediately released, and it was unclear if it was a climbing or hiking accident.
The person was airlifted to a hospital in Twin Falls, Idaho.
