A woman and the two small children with her died as the result of crash in Big Horn County, Wyo., on Tuesday night, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

The driver, 29-year-old Kendra K. Pebbles of Manderson, Wyo., and Hunter Heitzman, 3, died at the scene of the crash at about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. Highway 20 just outside Manderson, a news release from the highway patrol said.

Katlynn M. Heitzman, 2, died at about 2 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings.

All three victims were properly restrained, the news release said.

Pebbles was driving a 2004 Ford Expedition north on Wyoming Highway 433 when she failed to stop at a three-way intersection with U.S. Highway 20 and drove into the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer, the patrol said. The tractor-trailer hit Pebble’s driver side door, rolling the Expedition onto its side.

Investigating troopers listed excessive speed and failure to observe a stop sign as factors in the crash, the news release said.
