GILLETTE, Wyo. — A man is charged with first-degree murder for allegedly shooting another man at a home in Gillette early on Thanksgiving Day.

The suspect is identified as 21-year-old Todd Michael Sindelar, of Gillette. Sindelar was jailed in South Dakota after a high-speed chase.

Police say a woman called 911 around 4 a.m. Thursday and said someone had knocked at their door and shot her boyfriend. They say 25-year-old Matthew Ryan Boyer was pronounced dead at a hospital. Police say Boyer had been involved in a dispute earlier.

Later Thursday, authorities in South Dakota spotted a vehicle possibly linked to the crime. Police say Sindelar fled the South Dakota Highway Patrol at up to 120 mph.

Sindelar faces extradition to Wyoming on the murder charge.
