CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Wyoming Senate continues to advance a bill that would change the curriculum requirements in the Hathaway college scholarship program.

House Bill 13 faces one more floor vote in the Senate.

On Thursday, senators approved an amendment that provides a waiver for students who can't complete a requirement because their school did not make a particular course available.

The bill allows career-vocational education or fine and performing arts courses to be part of the required curriculum.

The Senate version of the bill maintains that in order to earn the most scholarship money, a student still must take two years of foreign language classes.
