BURNS, Wyo. — A Burns man is under arrest following the fatal shooting of his wife.

Sheriff's Office Spokesman Gerry Luce issued a statement on Monday saying 61-year-old Ron Zimmerman of Burns is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder.

Luce says deputies responding to an emergency call on Sunday night found 51-year-old Teresa Zimmerman dead from a single gunshot wound at the couple's residence in Burns.

Laramie County District Attorney Scott Homar says no charges have been filed in court yet against Ron Zimmerman. Homar says Zimmerman will likely appear in Laramie County Circuit Court on Tuesday.
