CASPER — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department apprehended a man who tried to run over his wife in Casper on Monday, authorities said Thursday.

Clint Raymond Webb, 41, ran from police in the block of 12th Street and Payne Avenue, said Sgt. Rich Brown.

Authorities received 911 calls about a man trying to run over his wife. Webb was crashing into cars and ran from the scene when his vehicle no longer worked. Police believe Webb was angry over a pending divorce.

Webb traveled to Nevada in his mother's 1991 beige Buick.

He is being held in the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas on an aggravated assault charge, Brown said. He will be transported to Casper and could face additional charges.
