Man charged with 2nd degree murder in Buffalo

BUFFALO — A man is in jail in Buffalo on a second-degree murder charge after a reported disturbance at a bar.

45-year-old Buffalo resident Brian Newman was pronounced dead at the Johnson County Healthcare Center.

Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder says 30-year-old Richard Wilkerson is being held at the Johnson County jail.

Arraignment on the murder charge is expected within a couple days.

The case is still being investigated.
