CODY — The trial date for a woman charged in the death of her boyfriend, whose decapitated body was found in northern Wyoming in 2014, has been pushed back.
Sandra Garcia is charged along with her brother, Pedro Garcia Jr., and John Louis Marquez in the death of Juan Antonio Guerra-Torres. Sandra Garcia's trial had been scheduled to start early next month, but the date has been postponed after the defense filed a motion for a continuance.
Authorities found the body of Guerra-Torres in January 2014. His head, right hand and left arm had been cut off.
Authorities say the three suspects plotted to kill the victim over a drug debt.
The Garcia siblings and Marquez have denied the charges against them.
