LARAMIE, Wyo. — The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees has approved a three-year contract with incoming President Robert Sternberg that will pay a base salary of $425,000 a year.
Trustees unanimously approved the contract Tuesday.
Sternberg will take over as UW president on July 1, succeeding retiring President Tom Buchanan.
The contract also calls for UW to contribute to a deferred compensation plan and to provide a housing allowance and a vehicle.
Sternberg comes to UW from Oklahoma State University, where he has served as provost and senior vice president since 2010.
