SHERIDAN, Wyo. — A woman has pleaded not guilty to charges related to an accident that killed a Sheridan bicyclist in May.

Hannah M. Terry, 34, pleaded not guilty Thursday in district court.

Terry is charged with aggravated homicide by vehicle and driving under the influence of a controlled substance causing serious bodily injury in connection with the May 31 incident.

The incident resulted in the death of 65-year-old Sheridan resident Larry Hurst and injured his wife, Sara Hurst.

Terry told officers at the scene that she had taken narcotic pain medications for a back problem.

Sara Hurst suffered broken bones in her leg and pelvis, two collapsed lungs and severe bleeding. She has since been released from a hospital in Billings.
