Climate change is one of the greatest threats to our public lands — it reduces snowpack and stream flows, causes habitat loss and worsens wildfire season. Montana public lands are an essential part of our economy, our identity and our quality of life.

Many of our businesses and favorite recreational activities in the Billings area will be seriously affected. Increased temperatures and wildfires will impact wildlife in the beautiful Bighorn Canyon and threaten trout populations in the Bighorn River.

In order to protect our economy and lifestyles, we need to take action to reduce global warming. Sens. Jon Tester and Steve Daines should stand up for Billings’ waterways and fund climate change programs.
