Bill Cole has a proven track record of being a positive and effective leader in our community. When he talks about “starting a community conversation” to improve safety, our economy and our quality of life, he does so from a place of experience, but also with a vision of making this community a place we are all proud to call home.
Just in the past year, Cole has rolled up his sleeves in significant ways to support Montana State University Billings’ Science Building and to advance Family Promise’s new day center. He also led the Yellowstone Kelly Interpretive Site project, supported School District 2, helped secure Clarks Crossing Island and an easement along the Yellowstone River for community recreational purposes, worked with the Montana legislature on behalf of the business community to improve our economy, supported ZooMontana, and so much more.
He has a thoughtful approach to issues and I appreciate his willingness to listen to differing opinions. He will always look you in the eye and be honest with you — knowing you may not agree.
Above all, his respect for people and their positions is what makes him a quality person. I have witnessed Bill Cole’s visionary leadership. But most importantly, I have seen a leader who is in the trenches with a shovel in his hand with a single agenda -- to make Billings better for the benefit of all. I am a proud supporter of Bill Cole for mayor.
