It is refreshing to read a column by Bob Brown (The Billings Gazette, Feb. 17, 2018), who injects a note of sanity into the maelstrom in which myopic and opportunistic congressmen rejoice at the passage of a so-called tax reform bill which mortgages the future and virtually insures insolvency in return for a temporary jolt to an economy that was already improving.

Common sense isn’t extinct. It’s just in short supply.
