Montana has one Congressman and we deserve two. Montana has more people in its single congressional district than any other and is 121 times larger than Rhode Island, a state with fewer people but two congregational districts. The U.S. House of Representatives decides which states get districts, and Montana was robbed of its long-held Western district after the 1990 census.
The incontrovertible merits of returning a second district to Montana are dwarfed by the indignity of big states like Texas thumbing its nose at us as it loads up on government pork and stacks the deck against us.
No wonder Houston is bailed out while Montana burns.
