The Yellowstone Art Museum thanks the people of the region for generous support yet again this year. We recently bid farewell to our outstanding executive director, Dr. Robyn G. Peterson, for her 11-plus years of tireless service to the YAM. She will be missed, but inspired us to continue to move forward with vigor. We extend our sincere appreciation and thanks.
YAM staff, volunteers, sponsors and donors work diligently year around to bring creative exhibitions and educational programs to Billings. We are inspired daily by responses from visitors of all ages and backgrounds from Head Start children, Crow youth, college students, foreign travelers and our many members. They leave excited and gratified by their experience.
Our mission is to enrich and inspire everyone through the creativity of art. Exhibitions range from historical works by Joseph Henry Sharp and Will James to contemporary Montana masters. Special loans of international works of art delight and amaze our visitors. Currently, YAM offers Rodin sculptures, a colorful work by graffiti artist Keith Haring, and the stunning 23-foot-high bronze sculpture “Karma” by Korean artist Do Ho Suh in our courtyard.
The entire museum family expresses our heartiest thank you for our success in 2017, and wishes all the joys of the season and a happy new year.
