HELENA — Sen. Max Baucus, who chairs the tax-writing Senate Finance Committee, laid out some ambitious goals this week for overhauling the nation’s tax code, which he said is outdated and stifles economic growth.
Montana had a “banner year,” ending June with $340 million in the bank and a 9.55 percent revenue growth over prior year, Gov. Brian Schweitzer said last week.
