OKLAHOMA CITY — While the debate continues over whether the United States will approve a proposed oil conduit from Canada to the Gulf Coast, the segment from Cushing, Okla., to the Texas Gulf Coast is halfway toward completion and could be transporting oil by the end of the year.
CASPER, Wyo. — The repaired Bison Pipeline is shipping some natural gas again, while its owner continues to investigate what caused it to rupture at a site in northeast Wyoming on July 20.
TransCanada, the Calgary-based company that built the Bison natural gas pipeline across southeastern Montana, has contacted several landowners to propose compensation for damage caused by its construction.
Deep fissures fracturing their fields and pastures are only the most visible problem that landowners in Fallon and Carter counties say they’ve had with TransCanada’s Bison Pipeline.
It doesn’t take an engineer to see that TransCanada’s recently installed Bison natural gas pipeline has big problems along parts of its 97-mile route through southeastern Montana.
