BUFFALO, Wyo. — Toes were tapping, two-steppers were dusting the dance floor and Rainier beer was flowing freely at the Occidental Hotel, as several thousand literature lovers descended on this central Wyoming cattle town last weekend to celebrate Longmire Days.

CASPER, Wyo. — The town of Buffalo will become Durant, Wyo., for this weekend to celebrate the fictional location of Wyoming author Craig Johnson's novels about Sheriff Walt Longmire and the television series “Longmire."
