Brady Muller scored on a Jake Dukart fielder's choice ground ball in the 10th inning, and the Billing Scarlets defeated the Pendleton (Ore.) Reds 2-1 Friday night at the Spokane-Coeur d'Alene Wood Bat Classic in Spokane, Wash.
Than Schopp threw a scoreless inning in the bottom of the 10th to pick up the win and give the Scarlets a 3-0 record in the tournament.
Josh Barnett started for the Scarlets and threw nine innings, scattering seven Pendleton hits and striking out two. The Scarlets had five hits, led by two from Joe Barta.
The Scarlets, 31-8 overall, finish pool play today with games against the Kalispell Lakers and the Spokane North Stars.
