Eight different players recorded hits and the Billings Scarlets thumped Jackson Hole, Wyo., 19-3 in their opening game at the Goldsmith Gallery Jewelers/Make-A-Wish Foundation American Legion baseball tournament at Dehler Park Friday.

Jordan Harris tossed a one-hitter as the Scarlets shut down Laurel 8-0 in the second game. Harris pitched all five innings in the game shortened due to the eight-run rule. He didn't issue a walk and fanned seven.

The Scarlets are now 16-6-1 overall and sport a 3-0 conference mark.

In the first game, Jayson Leinwand knocked in four runs. He batted 1 of 3, including a double, and scored twice. Teammate Jalen Garcia plated three runners. Leadoff batter Cole Jones crossed the plate three times and added two hits and two RBIs. One of Jones' hits was a triple.

Against Laurel, Garcia finished 2 of 4 with two runs and three RBIs. Collin Maier, who earned the victory from the bump in the first game, and Gordy Sveinson each brought home two runners.
