Outfielder Cole Jones supplied the big hits on Wednesday night as the Billings Scarlets swept the Helena Senators 6-5 and 8-7 in American Legion baseball at Dehler Park.

Jones knocked in the go-ahead runs in the sixth inning of the opening game with a three-run triple. He followed up with a leadoff home run in the second game.

With the sweep, the Scarlets improved to 9-6 in conference and 31-17-1 overall.

Jones hit for the cycle in the doubleheader, going 4 for 8 at the plate with five runs battled in. He had a double to go along with his triple in the first game.

David Follett and Gordon Sveinson collected the pitching wins for the Scarlets. Follett won his game in relief.

Jalen Garcia and Jake Tallman added two hits apiece in the opening game. Collin Maier stroked three hits, including a triple, in the second game.

The Scarlets and Billings Royals will meet on Friday at 7 p.m. at Dehler Park.
