Gordon Sveinson rapped out four hits and had four RBIs to help the Billings Scarlets defeat the Nebraska Zephyrs 8-3 Friday afternoon in the first round of the American Legion baseball Tournament.

The game was played at Dehler Park because of a scheduling conflict. The Scarlets (22-12-1) play in Bozeman on Saturday and Sunday.

Sveinson had three singles and a double in four at-bats.  His double came during Billings' four-run fifth inning.

Elijah Sommerville added three hits, including a double, and scored three runs for Billings, while Jayson Leinwand and Jake Tallman each had two hits.

Jordan Harris pitched the final six innings for the Scarlets to earn the win.
