The Billings Scarlets split a conference doubleheader Monday with Lethbridge, winning 7-0 and losing 7-5 at Dehler Park.

In their victory, Gordy Sveinson threw a four-hit complete-game shutout. Sveinson struck out seven and didn’t allow a walk in seven innings. Offensively, Collin Maier broke the game open with a three-run double in the fifth. Shelby Zorn also drove in a pair of runs.

Lethbridge rallied from a four-run deficit to win the first half of the doubleheader. A three-run fifth, highlighted by consecutive RBI singles from Shawn Grandmon, Tanner Shirakawa and Marcus Pearce, put the Elks ahead for good.

Cole Jones and Jalen Garcia each tripled for the Scarlets. Garcia had three RBIs.

The Scarlets are now 34-18-1 overall and 13-7 in the conference. The travel to Bozeman on Friday.
