SEATTLE -- Catcher Shelby Zorn batted a perfect 4 for 4 and the Billings Scarlets downed FCA Washington 6-3 in an American Legion baseball tourney here on Saturday.

Hurler Michael Merchant pitched all seven innings to earn the victory. He gave up eight hits and two earned runs. Merchant struck out four and didn't walk a batter.

Zorn, who stroked a double, scored twice.

Also Saturday, the Scarlets and Seattle Wave battled to a 2-2 tie in a game that was called due to a time limit in the ninth inning.

Jake Tallman hit a two-run single in the fourth inning for the Scarlets (14-5-1, 3-0). The Scarlets are 2-1-1 at the tournament.
