HELENA -- The Billings Mustangs rapped out 11 hits, led by a 4-of-5 effort by designated hitter Argenis Aldazoro, in a 6-2 victory over Helena in Pioneer League baseball here Sunday.

Despite Brian O'Grady flying into a sacrifice double play in the fourth at-bat of the fifth inning, the Mustangs scored four runs in the frame to take a 4-0 lead.

Aldazoro scored one, drove in two and had a double for Billings. The Northern Division-leading Mustangs improved to 16-10 in the second half of the Pioneer League season. Missoula at Great Falls was postponed Sunday due to weather. The Mustangs lead the Osprey (12-13) by 3 1/2 games.

The Mustangs and Helena tangle again in the second game of a two-game series Monday at 7:05 p.m.

In other Mustangs news, the contest rained out Saturday against the Missoula Osprey at Dehler Park will be made up as part of a doubleheader Thursday in Missoula. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. Both games will be seven innings, and the Mustangs will be the home team in the opener. The Osprey will be the home team in the regularly scheduled nightcap.
