Osprey starting pitcher and Billings native Brady Muller

Brady Muller of Billings earned his first Pioneer League victory with the Missoula Osprey on Friday night against the Great Falls Voyagers.

MISSOULA — Brady Muller of the Missoula Osprey pitched seven shutout innings to earn his first Pioneer League victory on Friday night.

The Osprey defeated the Great Falls Voyagers 2-1.

Muller, of Billings, pitched seven and two-thirds innings before being lifted after allowing two doubles and a single run.

The former Billings Scarlets and Montana State Billings standout scattered five hits. He struck out four and walked two. The left-hander threw 100 pitches, 62 for strikes.

Muller (1-2) had a no-decision on Sunday after taking losses in his first two starts. He was signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks after pitching three seasons for the Windy City ThunderBolts of the independent Frontier League.

He turned 25 on Monday.
