HELENA — Mitch Trees doubled, homered and had four RBIs in the Billings Mustangs' 9-2 win over the Helena Brewers Friday night in Pioneer League baseball.

Billings (12-7) has won seven of its last 10 games. The Mustangs play at Great Falls on Saturday.

Billings bunched together seven runs in the fourth and fifth innings to break the game open. Trees hit a solo home run in the eighth, his second of the season. He also scored two runs.

Designated hitter Leandro Santana walked three times and scored two runs for the Mustangs.

Mustang starter Matt Blandino ran his record to 3-0, going six innings. He allowed four hits and two runs. He struck out three and walked none.

Blandino, along with relievers Andrew McKirahan, Yerry Santos and Connor Bennett, combined to strike out nine.
