OGDEN, Utah – Grand Junction outfielder Raimel Tapia singled in the third inning to extend his hitting streak to 29 consecutive games Thursday night.

The league record was set in 2006 when Chris Valaika, playing for the Billings Mustangs, hit in 32 consecutive games.

Tapia added a single in the seventh inning and is batting .408 during the streak. He is hitting .384 overall.
