Missoula scored eight runs in the last four innings en route to a 9-3 Pioneer League baseball victory over the Billings Mustangs Thursday at Dehler Park.

The loss stopped a two-game winning streak by the Mustangs (16-21). Missoula improved to 16-21.

First baseman Trevor Mitsui batted 3 for 5 with five RBIs for the Osprey. Mitsui's big hit was a three-run single in the sixth. One inning later, Mitsui drove a line-drive double to left field to plate two more runs.

Missoula hurler Dallas Newton (2-1) earned the victory by tossing 6.1 innings and allowing eight hits and two earned runs. He walked one and struck out two to lower his ERA to 2.57.

Aristides Aquino, Taylor Sparks and Brian O'Grady each batted 2-4 for the Ponies. All three scored a run. Included in O'Grady's hits total was his second triple of the year.

The first half of the season ends with the completion of Friday's games. The Mustangs open a three-game series with Great Falls Friday. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. at Dehler.
