OREM, Utah – Luke Moran and Soid Marquez combined on a four-hitter as the Billings Mustangs defeated the Orem Owlz 7-1 in Pioneer League action Saturday night.

Brian O’Grady and Kevin Franklin each drove in two runs to help the Mustangs win their second straight. Eight of the nine starting players had at least one hit.

Moran (4-5) threw six solid innings, allowing the Owlz their only run in the second inning on a solo home run by Miguel Hermosillo. Moran struck out three and walked none.

Marquez earned his first save with three shutout innings, striking out six and walking none. Both pitchers allowed two hits.

The teams play the third game of their four-game series on Sunday with a 2:05 p.m. start time.
