OGDEN, Utah -- Leadoff hitter Cory Thompson triggered a 16-hit assault with four hits and the Billings Mustangs finished their road trip with a 12-3 victory over Ogden at Lindquist Field.

Thompson went 4 for 6 and had a pair of RBIs, spearheading a four-run first inning with a leadoff single. Brian O’Grady had a sacrifice fly and Aristides Aquino added an RBI double for the Mustangs in the first.

Billings put up three more runs in the third, highlighted by Argenis Aldazoro’s two-run home run to right field. Aldazoro finished 3 for 5 and was a double shy of hitting for the cycle. In the fifth, the Mustangs scored three more, led by Alex Blandino’s RBI double and another sac fly by O’Grady.

Four Mustangs pitchers scattered eight hits. Reliever Jacob Moody (2-0) earned the victory while Fabian Roman locked down a three-inning save.

The Mustangs went 3-4 on their seven-game, eight-day road trip through Idaho Falls and Ogden. They return to Dehler Park for a seven-game homestand, beginning Wednesday against Missoula at 7 p.m.
