OGDEN -- Justin Chigbogu hit his ninth home run, Jose De Leon threw six strong innings and Ogden defeated the Billings Mustangs 8-4 on Monday at Lindquist Field.

With the loss, the Mustangs, now 14-20 overall, were eliminated from first-half title contention in the Pioneer League's North division.

Chigbogu's two-run homer in the first inning off Luke Moran (1-3) kick-started a Raptors offense that collected 14 hits. Ogden starter De Leon (3-0) limited the Mustangs by striking out seven and allowing just one hit.

Garrett Boulware went 2 for 5 with an RBI for Billings. The Mustangs left 11 men on base, and couldn't capitalize on six Raptors errors.

Following the final game of their seven-game, eight-day road trip Tuesday in Ogden, the Mustangs will return home for a seven-game homestand beginning Wednesday against Missoula.
