The Billings Mustangs earned a doubleheader split with the Missoula Osprey on Thursday night to maintain their three-game North Division lead.

Aristides Aquino and Taylor Sparks each drove in a run in the top of the eighth in the nightcap, leading to a 5-3 victory. Missoula won the first game, 4-0, behind a combined two-hitter from Cody Reed and Kevin Simmons.

Both games were seven innings.

The teams have three more games remaining in the series. Just seven games remain in the regular season as the Mustangs and Osprey chase the postseason spot.

Sparks had three sacrifice flies in the second game. Connor Kraus (1-2) threw two scoreless innings to pick up the win.
