HELENA -- Ty Washington's sacrifice fly in the top of the 12th produced the deciding run in the Mustangs' 7-6 victory over Helena on Monday at Kindrick Legion Field.

Cory Thompson led off the inning by reaching on a throwing error and advancing to second base. Jimmy Pickens then moved Thompson to third with a sacrifice bunt, and Washington followed with his sac fly to left.

Helena had runners on second and third in its half of the 12th, but Tucker Neuhaus lined into a double play to end the game.

It was the first game of the Mustangs' nine-game road trip that also treks through Great Falls and Missoula. The Mustangs enter Tuesday with a four-game lead over Missoula in the race for the second-half title in the Pioneer League's North division.
