MILES CITY - Miles Community College head men's basketball coach Chase Tait has announced the signing of Travis Peevey of Missoula to a letter-of-intent for the 2009-10 basketball season.
Peevey chose MCC over University of Montana-Western and Bellevue College (Wash.) to continue his playing career.
Peevey, a 6-foot guard, led Hellgate High School in both scoring and assists this season with 10.4 points and two assists, and also pulled down more than four boards per contest this past season to earn the team's MVP honor. He was named to the second team of the all-Western AA basketball team as a senior.
Peevey is a four-year honor roll student and academic all-state his senior year.
