MSU used an 8-2 beginning under the five minute mark to reclaim control.

The Bobcats were without injured center Paul Egwuonwu, but got considerable production from reserve forward Blake Brumwell. Brumwell scored six points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Antonio Biglow scored 12 points for MSU, which improved to 10-10 overall and 7-5 in the Big Sky Conference. Portland State dropped to 5-14 and 3-9 in the league.
