TAMPA, Fla. — Free agent linebacker Dane Fletcher has signed a contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The former Montana State player from Bozeman, Mont., joins the Bucs after spending four seasons with the New England Patriots. He's started six of 38 games he's appeared in during his career and has played extensively on special teams.

The Bucs, who are overhauling their roster under new coach Lovie Smith, announced the deals Monday.
