LOGAN, Utah – Caroline Hardin and Brandon Hough led the Montana State cross country teams at the NCAA Mountain Region championships Friday at the Steve and Dona Reeder course.

The MSU women's team earned a 10th-place finish, four spots higher than last year, with 301 points. The men's team placed 12th for the second consecutive year by scoring 379 points.

The MSU women finished as the second-best Big Sky school, while the men were the fourth-highest Big Sky finisher. It was the final cross country meet of the season for the Bobcats.

Hardin placed 28th overall in the women's 6K race in a time of 20 minutes, 58.5 seconds. Hough made his first appearance at the regional meet as a Bobcat and finished 36th overall in the men's 10K race with a time of 31:21.0.
