BOZEMAN — Tyler Hall scored a game-high 23 points, including four free throws in the final 75 seconds, to help Montana State hold off Southern Utah 69-66 Saturday afternoon in Big Sky Conference men's basketball.
The Bobcats (12-10, 5-4) trailed 40-37 at halftime.
Hall, limited to seven points in Thursday's loss to Northern Arizona, finished 6 of 14 from the field, including three 3-pointers. He also made all eight free throw attempts.
Devonte Klines added 12 points for MSU, while Konner Frey had 11. The Bobcats shot just 29 percent from the field in the second half but made 13 of 17 free throws in the final 20 minutes.
MSU was 17 of 25 from the free throw line for the game while Southern Utah was just 3 of 6.
Jamal Aytes led the Thunderbirds (8-12, 2-7) with 22 points.
