BOZEMAN — Torry Johnson scored a game-high 27 points, including the go-ahead free throw, as Northern Arizona stunned Montana State 77-75 Thursday night in Big Sky Conference men's basketball.
The Bobcats (11-10, 4-4) host Southern Utah on Saturday.
It was first league win of the season for the Lumberjacks (4-17, 1-7).
Johnson's free throw put NAU up 60-59 with 6:16 remaining. MSU got within 75-73 on Joe Mvuezeolo Jr.'s 3-pointer but Chris Bowling and Karl Harris made single free throws for the Lumberjacks in the final 14 seconds.
Johnson came to Bozeman averaging 9.6 points a game.
Devonte Klines led MSU with 15 points, while Sam Neumann had 14 and Mvuezolo had 11. The Bobcats' Tyler Hall was limited to seven points, almost 12 below his season average.
