HELENA — Carroll College shot 63 percent from the field, racing past Rocky Mountain College 90-63 Saturday night in Frontier Conference men's basketball.

The No. 10-ranked Saints led 48-19 by halftime.

Chad Kananen led the Battlin' Bears with 12 points, while Jared Samuelson had 11. Kananen had four 3-pointers.

Rocky shot 30 percent from the field in the first half. The Battlin' Bears has 18 turnovers, 13 in the first half.

"We turned the ball over too many times," said Rocky coach Bill Dreikosen. "And we didn't have a good mental effort on defense. They pounced on us early and never let us back in it."

Matt Wyman led Carroll with 18 points, while Ryan Imhoff had 16 and Match Burnham 13.

Rocky returns to the Fortin Center this week for games against Montana State-Northern (Thursday) and Providence (Saturday).
