Rocky Mountain College middle blockers Yang Yang and Anna Dewald have been selected to the American Volleyball Coaches Association's NAIA all-Northwest Region volleyball team.

Yang is a 6-foot junior from Yongan, China, while Dewald is a 6-3 junior from Windsor, Colo.

Yang and Dewald ranked 1-2 on the Rocky team in hitting and blocking.

Yang finished with 434 kills this season and was in on 162 blocks. Dewald had 313 kills and 123 blocks.

The 14-member first team also included outside hitters Abby Nicholas and Kelsey Williams and setter Joni Nagy of Montana State Northern and outside hitter Niurka Toribio of Idaho's Lewis-Clark State.

Nicholas was selected as the region's player of the year. Northern's Bill Huebsch was picked as the coach of the year. 

Montana Tech libero Kimmy Kavran and  Carroll College's Ellie Graff received honorable mention recognition.
