Gardiner's Wines to play football at Tech

Connor Wines of Gardiner has signed a letter of intent to play football at Montana Tech, according to his high school coach.

Bruins coach Jordan Featherman said Wines was a three-time all-conference selection while playing quarterback and linebacker at Gardiner. He also earned all-state honors last season.

Wines rushed for 1,374 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior and added 562 yards passing with eight touchdowns and eight interceptions. He also recorded 126 yards receiving and another score.

Defensively, Wines finished with 75 tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception.

Wines plans to study business at Montana Tech.
