BUTTE -- Levi Lynde of Red Lodge has signed a letter of intent with the football program at Montana Tech.
The 5-foot-9, 160-pound Lynde played wide receiver and defensive back for Rams, who advanced to the quarterfinals of the State B playoffs last fall.
He was selected as an all-state performer on both offense and defense.
Lynde has been picked to play in the Class B All-Star football game at Rocky Mountain College. He is an alternate to this summer's East-West Shrine Game and Knights of Columbus Badlands Bowl.
"Levi is a tough young man and a leader," Orediggers coach Chuck Morrell said. "He has shown the ability to play several positions for coach (John) Fitzgerald."
Lynde earned academic all-state accolades four consecutive years. He plans on majoring in petroleum engineering at Tech.
Morrell announced 13 signings on Wednesday, including 10 Montana athletes.
That group included: James Foote (Missoula Big Sky), Nic Amestoy (Helena), Daniel Van Dyke (Helena Capital), Zach Dennehy (Kalispell Glacier) Brad Humphreys (Great Falls), Mick Paffhausen (Dillon), Ethan Reich (Anaconda), Cameron Nissen (Bigfork) and Zeb Bloom (Simms).
