MSU-Northern hires Rose Obunaga as next volleyball coach

MSU-Northern announced the hiring of Rose Obunaga as its head volleyball coach.

HAVRE — Montana State University-Northern announced Thursday that Rose Obunaga will be the next head volleyball coach for the Skylights.

Obunaga recently completed her fifth season as the head coach at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri.

Prior to her time at Stephens College, Obunaga was a student assistant volleyball coach at Columbia College. She was also a graduate assistant coach at the University of Evansville.

Obunaga was a two-time member of the Kenyan Olympic team, playing in the 2000 (Sydney, Australia) and 2004 (Athens, Greece) Olympic Games.

She was also a two-time NJCAA All-American at Missouri State-West Plains and a NAIA All-American for both Central Methodist University and Columbia College.
