GREAT FALLS —The third-ranked University of Providence wrestling team will meet its in-state rival, No. 17 Montana State-Northern, for a dual this week.

The match between the Argos and the Lights is set for Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the McLaughlin Center in Great Falls. Both are members of the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

Last year at nationals, Northern placed eighth overall. Redshirt junior Brandon Weber, last year's 157-pound national champion from Forsyth, was the Most Outstanding Wrestler at nationals. He is ranked first at 157 pounds in the preseason poll. Weber's brother, Matt Weber, is ranked eighth at 141 for the Lights. Matt Weber is a junior.

Providence, which finished 14th at nationals last year, placed nine wrestlers in the top 20 individual preseason rankings, including five that project as All-Americans. UP’s 2017-18 preseason ranking is tied for the highest preseason ranking in program history.
