KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Rocky Mountain College's Joel Barndt will be playing in the first NABC-NAIA Men's Basketball All-Star Game on Saturday night at Municipal Auditorium.

Barndt's NAIA Division I team will take on the NAIA Division II All-Stars at 7 p.m. (Mountain time). One of Barndt's teammates will be guard Marcel Towns of the University of Great Falls.

The 6-foot-9 Barndt, a senior forward for the Battlin' Bears, averaged 17.5 points and 9.3 rebounds per game this season for Rocky, which won the Frontier Conference regular-season and postseason tournament titles this season and advanced to nationals.

During his four-year career with the Bears, the former Billings Central star scored 1,406 points and grabbed 835 rebounds. Barndt was the Frontier's leading rebounder for the past two seasons.
