HELENA -- Carroll College used a 14-0 run spanning the first and second halves on Thursday night to rally past Rocky Mountain College 68-54 in Frontier Conference women's basketball.
The Battlin' Bears were ahead of the Saints 32-22, but Carroll closed out the first half on a 7-0 spurt and opened the second half with another 7-0 charge to build a lead it would never relinquish.
"We really got after them in the first 19 minutes," Rocky coach Brian Henderson. "We kind of coasted to the locker room."
The Saints went on to shoot 64 percent from the field during the second half -- including 7 of 9 from 3-point territory.
Bailey Snelling led the way for Carroll with 21 points. Kalee Junkermier added 18 and Jordan Bagley 12.
Snelling and Junkermier accounted for eight of the Saints' 10 3-pointers.
Carroll improved to 6-5 in conference and 13-9 overall with the victory. Rocky fell to 0-11 and 7-13 with its 10th consecutive loss.
"We're so close," Henderson said. "It's just mental errors that are holding us back. We've got to get that cleared up. The girls are playing really hard."
Brittany Kumm's 15 points were high for Rocky. She made five 3-pointers.
The Bears will be playing at Montana Western on Friday night.
